Power Spotters Discuss: Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara

Lucky Power Spotters got the chance to sample the new Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara from Maybelline New York.

Pulse Perfection is Maybelline New York’s first VIBRATING mascara designed to give you the seven must-haves of perfect lashes: volume, length, separation, color, curl, luster and no more clumps!

See what Lucky Power Spotters had to say about their experience with the mascara.

“I LOVED THE VIBRATION! I am very picky about my mascara as I have very thick eyelashes and tend to have a problem with mascara clumping, making “spidery” lashes or getting all over my top eyelid, and this went on easily, evenly.”
- Rebecca, New York, NY

“When I pushed the button to make it vibrate, it was weird at first. But when I started using it, I was like WOW! The vibration was not too strong, but I was able to feel it just enough to put the mascara on properly. ”
- Vanessa, Las Vegas, NV

“Loved it and planning on buying when my sample runs out!”
- Vicki, Hartford, CT

“So cool! I loved watching the video. The mascara is so high-tech! ”
- Kate, New York, NY

“My lashes really popped and looked more glamorous!”
- Valerie, San Diego, CA

“I LOVED the mascara and the vibration!!! As did my friends! LOVED the no clump effect!”
- Lisa Warner Robins, GA

“Very subtle. Great mascara. It made my short stubby lashes long.”
- Heather, Odessa, FL

“ The vibration was easy to get used to. A little awkward doing the left eye, though, since I’m right handed. The coverage was amazing, and it really helped getting the little short lashes in the corner of the eye. I liked it a lot!! Thanks for the test!!”
- Alicia, North Port, FL

“I love it. It makes my eyelashes look longer, gives them more volume and they are clump-free. At the beginning I was a bit nervous about having a vibrating wand so close to my eye but it doesn’t bother at all.”
- Monica, Flushing, NY

“I thought the mascara was awesome. It went on easy and made my eyelashes sizzle with excitement. I have never tried mascara I liked as much!”
- Deanna, Weehawken, NJ

“I really liked the mascara. I thought the vibration was just enough. It wasn’t too overwhelming like I thought it was going to be. It was just enough to go through my lashes and coat them all really well.”
- Melanie, Memphis TN

“The concept is interesting, at first I was skeptical about the operations but it actually worked very well. I didn’t need to apply in small side-by-side movements, the vibration made it for me.”
- Lilia, Brooklyn, NY

“I liked it but the color was a little too dark for me. It looked awesome on my friend who has a darker complexion.”
- Kelly, Boston, NY

“This mascara is so unbelievably amazing! It usually takes me 20 to 25 minutes to put on my mascara perfectly but with this wonderful vibrating mascara it only took me 3 minutes to get the most awesome and beautiful lashes. ”
- Maria, Bakersfield, CA

“The first time I used it the vibrations felt weird. But after seeing the results I was amazed. Since then I have been using it everyday and I threw out my old mascara.”
- Zakeyyan, Mount Morris, MI

“I love this mascara! It was very simple to use, and the vibration was not one bit intimidating, as I first thought it might be, being so close to my eyes. The vibration was gentle but just enough to separate my lashes perfectly.”
- Angel, Plainsboro, NJ

“I thought the vibration was quite novel. I was intrigued, and could not wait to try the product. I found the mascara very easy to apply. The vibrations helped to separate my lashes. The mascara absolutely lengthened and thickened each individual lash.”
- Jessica, Camby, IN

“I LOVE IT!!!!! It is the first mascara that separates your eyelashes. You see all these commercials with these beautiful lashes and now I can finally get them from home. My only concern was of the battery running down if I dropped it in my purse.”
- Katherine, Memphis TN

“At first it was a bit awkward, but after several days of using it I got the hang of it and LOVED it! My eyes looked so big and my lashes full and lengthened.”
- Jill, Rockingham, NC

“I liked the way the vibration covered my lashes. It took me a couple tries to figure out that for me it worked better when I brought the wand to my eye then pressed the button vs. pressing it and bringing it to my eye.”
- Margaret, Arlington, VA

Power Spotter Profile: KSecreto80

Style Inspiration: Everywhere! I’m constantly people-watching wherever I go! I also devour magazines, cutting out anything that catches my eye, and saving the clippings in an inspiration book. Historical style icons are also inspirational, especially music artists from the late 1960’s on like Janis Joplin, Patti Smith, and Debbie Harry.

Three Items I’d Never Leave Home Without: Mascara, lip gloss and a small notebook tucked away in my purse. You never know when a brilliant idea will strike!.

What I’m Coveting This Summer: Maxi dresses and lots of them!

How I Chose My Favorite Style Spotter Looks: These outfits are pulled together and classic, but with a twist. Each is infused with something off-beat but completely spot-on that just makes it work – that personal, textual touch. My style can be anything from a 1920’s-inspired drop waist to a 1990’s rocker chic look, but it always has that edge.

Power Spotter Profile: Zoebella

Style Inspiration: I get my style inspiration from fashion blogs, people on the street (especially in New York), art, street fairs, thrift and vintage shops, quirky and foreign films (ie..Amelie, all Pedro Almodovar movies, Pushing Daisies, Belle de Jour, etc.), and anything and everything 60’s & 70’s.

Three Items I’d Never Leave Home Without: I never leave home without my Blackberry, Metrocard, and a shawl for chilly nights in NY.

What I’m Coveting This Summer: The one item I am coveting this summer is 1970’s high waisted jean shorts. They are perfect for a hot summer day – you can dress them up with heels or down with sandals, and you can wear them into fall with tights and flannel.

How I Chose My Favorite Style Spotter Looks: I picked these looks mainly based on how they are styled (ie. how different textures, colors, and silhouettes are put together that you wouldn’t normally expect). I tried to choose looks that were thrifted or vintage, and used accessories to step up the outfits.

Power Spotter Profile: Farrielle2

Style Inspiration: I get my inspiration from fashion blogs, street style in both Europe and the States, and my mom, who sewed lots of cute dresses for me when I was growing up. I am attracted to style that shows individuality, screams uniqueness, and dares to be different. It catches my eye and makes me want to put my own touch on it to make it more personal.

Three Items I’d Never Leave Home Without: My Bare Essentials lip gloss, handmade jewelry, D&G sunglasses

What I’m Coveting This Summer: Mainly skirts – draped skirts that I can pair with lots of gun metal chain jewelry, and linen skirts in bright colors and intricate patterns that I can wear with simple white t-shirts and sandals.

How I Chose My Favorite Style Spotter Looks: I am usually attracted to color. In some, it is a piece of jewelry that made a impact on me. In others, the color combination has inspired me to make a necklace or simple dangling earrings to go with my clothes.

Style Inspiration: I get my style inspiration from blogs, street style sites, magazines and classic movies. When old trends become new again, it’s great to watch movies from that era that really showcase those styles.

Three Items I’d Never Leave Home Without: My cell phone, lipgloss and a sweater—because you never know when it will come in handy.

What I’m Coveting This Summer: White ankle length skinny jeans, they’re classic and a great alternative to regular jeans during the hot summer months.

How I Chose My Favorite Style Spotter Looks: I picked these looks because they’re all so well put together and styled effortlessly. I tend to gravitate more towards feminine looks with great balance, color and silhouette, and all these looks have wonderful examples of each.
