Viking Dress '06
Button_next_big
Description

All selfmade! I started sewing medieval costumes for fairs and other events before I tried to copy fashion pieces! This is a combo for fall, the under garment is a beige wool dress, that was swn in the typical A-line with slim sleeves. The other dress is made of raw, dark red linen, it has short sleeves. The shape is wider which I did by adding triangles to make the skirt wider ( 6 all together). Leather belt was cut and studded, the buckle was sewn on by hand as well as the end piece. All have viking ornaments. Accesories were bought at fairs. Picture was taken at Ronneburg Castle, September 2006.

Thanks everyone, the picture was taken at a medieval camp sight, I used to live in Germany my whole life actually and medieval fairs are very popular. People are very accurate when it comes to authenthicity. The belt is natural toned leather, it darkened over time. It was handmade by viking reenactment group, the little studs are bronze triskeles btw.
