I know that I see pictures throughout this site of copyrighted materials. Even after being flagged, how are the illegal images allowed to remain on the site?

re: evaWalls
Hi Guys, We take down copyrighted material daily and ask members not to upload these images. However, some members aren't getting the message. Please flag any copyrighted images you see. Thanks!

re: evaWalls
I have been flagging one post almost daily for a couple of weeks now and it is still on the contest site.

re: evaWalls
I am not quite sure how YOU know if something is copyrighted. I know you commented with an insinuation that a photo of mine was copyrighted but I have all rights to that photo given to me by the person that took it....so exactly how can you accuse someone without knowing the situation??

re: wa4ced
Hi wa4ced, i looked on your page and didn't even see a picture posted? Speaking just for myself, the only time I have flagged a posted entry is when I KNOW a picture is from another source. There are alot of profesional models on this site, and I would not flag without knowing if it is them or not. If your comment is at me, I don't know what I said because I don't see your pic. Somehow I think I got this rap because of another instance where I could show the online catalogs pics were from and unfortunately, I was right in my accusations.(ie. the post above yours had to do with the last contest) - If I have ever made a false accusation I will be the first to apologize - Kathe

re: evaWalls
Actually it wasnt you but someone posted a link of my pic that was on another site that belonged to the photog that took it. That was my point....even though it was the same pic I dont know how one could say copyrights were violated. It was still me and the same friend photog. Yea I understand and am sure a LOT of copyrighted photos get put here. But a comment left on my eye comment section gave me the impression someone thought I committed the violation. Thanks for answering kathe!!!

re: evaWalls
The person that took the image instantly becomes the copyright holder, ALWAYS...no ifs ands or buts! However, they are free to transfer partial or full use of the image(s) to the subject through a model release (which I have done with all of Gena's images). I put my copyright on ALL my photos but that doesn't mean that the model can't use them for her own promotion. This is standard industry practice for any photographer that knows the law. How can you people assume to know if the model has a release or not?

re: evaWalls
Again-Speaking just for myself-I will only flag when I know the image is not of the person who posted it! There are many models on this site with proffesional pic's that are not flagged. there was an insurgance of images, that were clearly not the person, ie. someone had a pic with head not in, but it was Allysa Milano from a Sports Authority Online Cat. And others from Victoria Sec. I belive Gena didn't have a piture of herself on a avitar, and a Professional Image was posted. It is no understandable why it was flagged. We are not here to knock anyone down but to celebrate everyone's indiviual style. We don't want to see the integrity of the Contests with those who want to cheat. The terms do allow for someone to prove ownership or rights to an image if it has been flagged. I did not flag or say anything, but we do have a right here to question and flag and image. I hope all parties can let this go.

re: evaWalls
Forgive us, Gena, we've been scarred, haha. We're a little riled up this week because people recently went way overboard with fake photos and profiles. There was even a pic stolen from the Major League Baseball store website and entered into the summer contest.

re: evaWalls
The MLB site? What kind of photo would be on the MLB site that someone could use on here? I am really surprised this happens so much...it really hadnt crossed my mind. I did see the pic of the big guitar looking eye thing...didnt know what that was. :)
