Is it true that 'yellow' is taking over as the NEXT hot nail-polish color? Is 'black' totally passe now?

Yellow is a great warm color. I have recently seen a lot of gold color with lots of shimmer.

I really don't think that black is passe yet, maybe not ever. It has such a great unexpected edge. I bet Zora might have yellow.

Black will always be a classic color. I like the yellow trend to add some warmth to outfits, but black will always be the winner, especially in fall.

I personally would never wear a yellow nail-polish. I can understand Gold because it has more warmth and shimmer to it, but I feel like not many skin tones could pull off yellow. I also feel like black is still going to be around, but I am on the West Coast, so we could be behind :)

I don't think black will ever go away and I agree that yellow nail polish seems strange. I just think fall is the time for darker colors and yellow is so loud.

I think Black should only we worn from Oct. 1st-Nov. 21st. Then we all must move on to the classic Waltz, Ballet Slippers or red for holiday season. Yellow is FANTASTIC for Sept. or spring. :)

I definitely agree. Is black okay for anytime in the evening?

I think I'm conservative when it comes to nail polish. I think black or yellow is great for an edgier look but not for anything dressy. And JessicaR had a good point-not many skin tones can pull off yellow polish. I read in a style book that the best polish color for "mature" :) hands (that would be me) is a very light pink (ex. I Pink I'm in Love by L'OREAL). There are some great colors by L'OREAL and you don't have to pay a fortune. For fall and winter though I do love OPI. I get such a kick out of the names and there are some lovely shades to choose from!

I agree on being conservative with color. Do you think there are any hot colors upcoming for fall?

Have you tried ESSIE nail polish? It may just be me but I have found it lasts longer on nails then any other brand?
