Um, i know - an ouch-less bikini wax sounds like an oxymoron but i was wondering if anyone has any tricks before they get a bikini wax to make it less painful?

It hurts at first but really isn't that bad. My best advice to just stay relaxed. Beauty is pain, but you'll look great!

Make sure everything is trimmed, the longer the hair is the more pain there is. Use baby powder on the area before hand and ask if you can hold skin for the person waxing, the dryer and tighter the skin is, the easier it will be.

moon's right on. it's also not a bad idea to take some ibuprofen 30 minutes before, since it helps with inflammation. also don't go around the time you're menstruating since the skin around that area will be more sensitive which means more pain! yikes!
it's really not that bad. good luck!

re: Stylicious
Any way you look at it, bikini/ brazillian waxes hurt like a mother. I always took two advil before hand and I was still very tender and swollen for a day or so after my waxing. I definitely recommend keeping your hair no longer than a 1/4 inch because it pulls the skin pretty badly when it's any longer than that. The results from waxing are amazing, but I would only get it done for special occasions/ vacations because it hurts so much. Let's just say the lady who waxed me got an earful of an entirely new vocabulary. haha Owwie!!
