Does anyone else love Project Runway as much as I do? Do you have a favorite designer or judge?

re: stef42678
When I have time (and when I remember...) I enjoy watching Project Runway. It's fun to see what the designers can do when they have to use unconventional items. I remember one season they had to use things from a craft store in their designs. I don't have a favorite judge since I'm not a faithful viewer; but it is fun to watch.

LOVE PR!!! I watch it pretty much religiously. I have been sort of underwhelmed with the talent this season though. They have had some great guest judges! I mean, Diane VF, Natalie Portman!! Good stuff! I am not too fond of the regular judges, except maybe Heidi.

I love Project Runway too. I agree that the judges seem more exciting than the contestants this year, but it is still awesome. Heidi rocks and has great style.

I love Project Runway. My favorite judges are Heidi and Michael Kors.

I am a PR addict. I was so disappointed when Joe got the boot. I'm not overly impressed with this cast but I am liking Kenley.

I'm disappointed too! I liked Kenley at the beginning, but she is beginning to piss me off. Her outfit this week?? Sooo not hip hop!

re: Bimbi284
Ugh her attitude was annoying me. Her personal style is cute but she's so obnoxious. My bet is on my fellow Sag, Jarelle. I hope I spelled his name correctly.

re: MrsRpd
Oh and I forgot the hip hop outfit was a joke. Notice LL's look on his face? :p

re: MrsRpd
OMG yes! LL was pretty much appalled! As was I...I totally agree about her personal style vs the looks the sends down the runway...eeesh! I like Korto's work...and Jarelle just cracks me up!

re: Bimbi284
She is so adorable but god her attitude upsets me. She blames it on having a hard life. Darling I had a hard life too but that is no reason to be bitchy. She blamed her failure of her model/castmate and the garment spoke for itself. I saw her website and her designs are really nice. I'm really hoping Jarelle gets it. He is so awesome.

I love Jarelle too! He is too funny and has some real talent. I think its funny that sometimes he starts his designs and I'm wondering what the HECK he is thinking, but when it all comes together it is fabulous!

re: Bimbi284
Okay, I take that back! The stuff he designed for his collection are NOT good...and he had sooo much potential!
I am currently loving what I am seeing of Kenley's and Luanne's (or is it Leeann?). Korto's is nice too...buuut I dunno.
Did anyone else notice that when Tim Gunn visited the designers, he met everyone's friends and family except for Kenley's???

re: Bimbi284
Yeah I had second thoughts as well. I liked Kenley right off the bat and looked her up on the net. I've seen her work off the show and it is so cute. Bad attitude aside she is a great designer.

re: stef42678
curious, what do u think of michael kors as a judge?

re: dazzlin
I'm not a fan of his work but he is a respected designer and knows the design business in and out. For that reason I think he makes a decent judge.

re: MrsRpd
I agree with MrsRpd, he is a decent judge, but a boring designer. I have dubbed him "Michael Bores" hehe. I only have one item of his, and I bought it for a specific function...and at TJ Maxx, so its justified (its the white dress in one of my looks). I found it funny that he called Kenley out on her Alexander McQueen look-alike (which was true), yet he seems to design a whole lot like many other top designers...just sayin'.

re: Bimbi284
haha thats hilarious! i think i agree, he has a distinct style, but it just isn't what i'm into. nonetheless, i own a ton of his stuff (part of the perks i get at work)- the quality is great though

So did you see last night's finale? I was rooting for Kato -- I love the color she uses. But Leeann was great too! I just feel like Kato's is more ready-to-wear than Leeaann's. Wouldn't it be awesome if they sat at Michael Kors for a bit (even though I do like him as a judge) and put in Gwen Stefani? I would love to hear her thoughts. The designers may even inspire her!

Gwen has a very distinctive style and I love her for it. i'd love to see her or even my fave Dita Von Teese on this show.

I did see it! way to go Portland girl!! I was rooting for the hometeam designer, although I liked others. Hers was pretty good and I liked her attitude!

re: eboneyowens
I really felt that Korto should have won. The colors, the beading, the pleating, the choice of fabrics...all right on. While I liked Lee anne's, it didn't "wow" me quite as much as Korto's did. I also feel like Korto had consistently better looks thoughout the show. It was definitely a tough choice.
Kenley's was okay, I loooooooved the cream shirt dress she had with the painted vine/flower thing...gorgeous.

re: Bimbi284
Korto so should have won. All three of them had such wonderful collections but Korto's was the most wearable and I loved how she reflected her heritage in her collection. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of her sometime down the road. She's much too talented to not be out there.
That halter dress? I want it!!!

I think I misspelled her name. oops.

re: stef42678
Bimbi, I agree -- Leanne's didn't "wow" me either. It was beautiful, but I have to say I was actually more impressed with Kenley's collection than hers. Korto is awesome, and when she got her daughter on the runway with her, I thought that was adorable. That's one lucky little girl!

re: stef42678
I am heartbroken that Korto didn't win, her craftmanship was impecable and you could tell her heart and soul were in every single of the pieces she designed, I hope we can see more of her in the future

re: stef42678
I think Korto has a bright future ahead of herself. Every Project Runway fan I meet says the same thing. That's our girl!
